At least from Netscape 2.0, around 1991, they were giving their software
away. I prefer Netscape, though I made the mistake some weeks back of
accepting their update, which trashed Netscape on my computer, so I am now
using IE alone. (When I updated IE a year back, it trashed my hard drive,
so I will never use these automatic upgrades again.)
