Since what Grégoire has proposed is not workable with today's 
technology unless the sensor size is about 10x15mm, saying that it's 
better than 'anything Leica has done' is downright silly.

That said, what Grégoire has shown looks very nice, and if it could 
be done, would be very attractive.
