Subject: [Leica] Polarizer on M-lenses

Frank asked:
"Have you tried other normal polarizers and noted the rotation prior to
putting it on the lens? I ask because I love the look that a polarizer will
give but have never used one an a rangefinder and I have a feeling that is
will make the camera feel a bit clumsy? Am I wrong? Of course, other with
knowledge of this topic please chime in too."

Frank, I occasionally use a 39mm B+W linear polarizer on my 35mm and 50mm
Summicrons. Visually noting the correct setting and transferring it to the
mounted polarizer is a non-issue. I did, however, once forget to re-set the
polarizer after changing the camera position from horizontal to vertical.
