The M6TTL and M7 have a slightly taller top plate so you do have to remove the peg on the old DR's eyes. Most are attached with a screw but some are cast in and you have to file it off. There are some reported problems with the DR lens somehow fouling baffles in the newer cameras. I have no experience with this so I can help you there.
