It would seem to me that the DR eyes (or any other eyes for that matter) wouldn't line up properly with the rangerfinder and viewfinder of a M7 versus the shorter M3 or MP. What say you? A modern Leica M lens with close focus capability! Great idea - which means it's pretty unlikely. :-) - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us] On Behalf Of Robert Rose Sent: Monday, September 08, 2003 3:49 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] New Lens Prediction; Billingham bag offer I just got a coupon from Leica for a Billingham bag, provided that I buy a new lens and it is "Not valid for Leica lenses introduced after September 1st, 2003." So, something is clearly coming. How about: A new DR dual range close focus lens like the old 50mm DR Summicron. This makes sense; it follows their updating of old favorites. They have given us a new MP, now they give us a new DR. Other thought: a 50mm Summilux with the lens formula from the new 50mm Summilux-R. keep shooting, Bob Rose - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html > - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
