An old master Dutch canvas. Aunt Doreen's portrait on the other hand succeeds splendidly in different ways and for different reasons; a lifetime is in her face. There is absolutely no question that she is fully aware of you and her surroundings, despite the stroke. Both images make effective use of diagonals to create additional visual tension. Thank you.
