The answer depends, among many factors, upon what you can afford to spend, what kind of pictures you intend to take, and what kind of image...vintage glow...you anticipate in the prints. Are you looking for a wide angle? Modest telephoto? Something in the thirty-five to fifty range? For the price of a couple of new MPs, you could probably find a worn Thambar. Now, if all you want is to start and endless thread in which everyone who owns or has owned or was raised by the owner of a III era LTM body wax eloquent...yeah, right...about her or his favorite lens or the lens that dad gave him or the lens she should never have sold, you ask a good question.
