The Cooper's Hawk is pretty much resident in the area - I saw one of the adults on Sunday while photographing a Desert Cottontail rabbit (rabbit wasn't happy about seeing the hawk) but at this time of year I wouldn't count on seeing this particular pair. OTOH the migration through the Marin County headlands and across the Golden Gate ought to be ramping up about now. More info at http://www.ggro.org
