I want to place the best plane of focus precisely. Too many times early in my photojournalism days I missed the best quality be not focusing carefully enough. But then I tend to prefer subjects I have to shoot in low light with wide apertures. I rarely shoot at smaller apertures than 5.6. I always use the absolute slowest film I can get away with. But yes, the M is a fun camera (as is my G3), and now that I think of it, there were a few times I used zone focusing, and it was a very strange experience for me. :-) On Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 08:39 AM, Bob Adler wrote: > So I can see where you think this might be a pain in > the butt, but it's excactly what I do with an M which > I don't consider to be a pain in the butt, but lots of > fun!
