It moves nicely from the HOOK into the right hand. If you insert your fingers in the SLING before releasing the HOOK, you have no chance of dropping your precious ;-). One thing I do find is that, with the camera connected with the HOOK on one lug and hanging from the left shoulder, it bounces and turns quite a bit.
