[There is a PAW in there]
We had our little gathering to see the street photography
show at Boston College yesterday. It was a small show
(about 20 images) with some true gems. Among the names
I recognized: Joel Meyerowitz ("Kiss me Stupid"),
Lee Friedlander, Gary Winnogrand, Constantine Manos,
Alex Webb, Sylvia Plachy. The exhibition even managed
to slip in a mention of Leica. B.D. noted that a couple
of the contemporary works are inkjet prints. We viewed
the images and discussed which works and which doesn't
for us. It was much fun hearing everyone's perpectives.
I learned a few things. B.D. showed us a gorgeous little
book from the work he did on diabetics a while back that
you may remember. Very nice books of very nice photographs,
which are much better in print than online, and much
better than the reproduction in the average photo book.
Afterward we convened to a local milk bar for ice cream,
talked about our personal preferences among Leica cameras
and lenses, and films, and generally catched up on news.
I took a few shots there:

Bill generously gave me a crash course on bulk loading, and
loaned me a loader.

As I walked back to my car, I saw this scene, in front
of the Tip O'Neil library, on campus:

This is my PAW entry. All comments appreciated.
Less you think the view typical of Boscon College, a Jesuit
college in the Boston area with many stone buildings in gothic
style, many looking like churches, this is more so:

All shots with a Canon DLSR and 50mm f1.4 lens
I would have gone and enjoyed the show by myself, but the
good company makes the experience so much better. What
a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours on a nice
summer afternoon.
