I try to make the female subject just as strong as men: imagine the portrait of an intense 20 year old male. With that said, I suspect that the B&W will go on the wall if she doesn't select some of the wider shots we took. Personality. I think this one shows it in spades - the other didn't do that for me. Also, it bothered me a little to see the very shallow DOF in the first one - I didn't feel comfortable with the one eye slightly out of focus - it didn't look right, at least not to me.
