About a year later, his cancer disappeared, literally, overnight. And then my old job called me and asked me to come back. I did, but it wasn't a good thing to do. I lasted two years and then just decided I had to get out of the newspaper game. I wasn't happy in it any more. Too much garbage to do to justify the good part. So I resigned. Found a job in Southern California with a company that treats me MUCH better than any newspaper ever did. I now have a pension, 401K (with match), work in a $40 million building overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and it doesn't rain like Oregon where I grew up. I could be here a very long time. :-) On Saturday, August 9, 2003, at 01:20 AM, Phong wrote: > Seems like that long ago when you moved from Grants Pass, OR > Didn't you move from OR to SoCal or did you move back > to the Midwest first ? > > - Phong > > Eric Welch wrote: >> Ted, yep, almost four years ago (and it wasn't too soon!). >> >> On Friday, August 8, 2003, at 08:58 PM, Ted Bayer wrote: >> >>> You must have left the Midwest some time ago. >> >> Eric Welch >> Carlsbad, CA >> http://www.jphotog.com > > > -- > To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html > > Eric Welch Carlsbad, CA http://www.jphotog.com Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment. - Will Rogers - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
