Not looking for a flame or prolonged discussion either George. But I'm an "old-guy" too, but not so old that I can't understand that the definition of photography doesn't depend upon using the same image capture medium for eternity. If it did, we'd all still be working with copper plates. ;-)

While I know well your point B.D.; I also still feel the need to distinguish between a real photograph - meaning that light exposed a light sensitive emulsion coating on a substrate which will hold the image when developed and fixed for a goodly long time.

as different from a digital capture; which, until printed, does not exist, except as a code which requires powered hardware and software to manifest in a manner which can be viewed.

Not looking for flaming or huge discussion - just an old guy who intuitively ³knows² what a real photograph ³feels² like.
