The city closed 7 blocks of Oak Bay Avenue and nearly 200 classic cars were angle-parked along the way, as well as down several side streets. They had it all... two 1932 Packards, a Dusenbergs, a 1923 Detroit Touring Car, a couple of copy-Bughatti's, several Rolls-Royce's, some original mini's; and sports cars, old and new, too numerous to count... even a nicely restored 1957 Bug! There were also two 'original' cars... a Behrens (built on a VW chassis) and the just completed Le Solo, a 100% from the wheels up new design. Only one in the world! Even for a non-car buff like me, it seemed the perfect place to try to master the learning curve of my new 21 Super Angulon! Well, 'master' might be a bit premature, but the results - both cars and characters - are at: http://www.horizon.bc.ca/~dnr. Click on the "Featured Photo" link. (8 photos, all optimized for dial-up.) Comments welcomed, as always. Thanks for looking. - ---------- David Young, | égalité, liberté, Victoria, CANADA | fraternité et Beaujolais.
