<<I'm just glad Leica didn't go to Olympus for

help. Can you imagine Leicas based on an OM-10 (don't wind that camera

yet - make sure it's finished its exposure or it's GONE).>>

Don't bad mouth the Olympii. I have 4, two OM-1s and two OM-2s. They have
travelled with me all over the world for the last 25 years and have never
misfired yet or needed a CLA. The OM-2s are dead accurate on exposure too. Too bad
Olympus is now concentrating only on P&S and digital cameras. The SLRs are what
a manual SLR should be.

As far as frequency of Leica CLAs go, I just broke down and had my first
edition M3, circa 1954, overhauled by Sherry Krauter. Apart from the oil drying up
and a little tweaking of the shutter speeds, it was in fine condition. It
didn't quite make the half century mark but I like to pamper the little beast.
