However, in 1956, on the 200th anniversary of the foundation of the
company, the Voigtländer family issued a press release asking that the name
be spelled, in order of preference:

Voigtländer
Voigtlander
Voigtlaender

Can we honor the wishes of the family with the longest commitment to optics
still extant in this world?
