After using M2, M6 and now an MP, my preference would be a black engraving or nothing at all.  The serial number is enough for me.  Too many people trying to figure out what you have around your neck which forces me to tape over any logos, engraving, silk screens, etc, anyway.  Who needs 'em, it's what's on the inside that counts.

But if it were more stable, more break resistent, etc., if it had a plastic
barrel, wouldn't you be getting more value for the money?
