A guess, Feli; if I recall correctly, Klaus Lang of Camera-exchange in
Germany recently had a RF Leica on the auction-site-that-may-not-be-named,
black top-plate and where the lettering usually is white, it was red. Lang
is very near Wetzlar and worked for Leitz/Leica before leaving to open his
store. Obviously has close contacts with the factory and has been able to
get special stuff like this done.
