I remember those also.  But, if I remember correctly, they only showed the
decibel level over time, not the "sound" of the shutter (only the volume).

It would be interesting, although time consuming, for someone to show
decibel level over time, average spectrum analysis, and a subjective
'feeling' of the sound of all the Leica shutters.

Hi,

     Remember those old test reports on cameras, perhaps in
'Modern Photography', now long gone, that displayed a
graph of the shutter noise on a time basis?  I may be fogged
on this.  Anyhow, it would be interesting to see the different
Leica sounds from the earliest to today's MP and M7.

     It seems to me that even the same model can sound different.
I've never done any actual comparing of the same model though.
