Yes, this teacher is busily heating and beating red hot iron in sandals,
no gloves, and his cotton shirt.  It is part of what I found amusing in
the scene.  OSHA, we don't need no stinking OSHA.

Hi Don,
Good shot of someone clearly enjoying himself. Is he really working hot
metal wearing sandals?
