I had two of them (got them with the bodies I bought) and both worked 
fine on all my M's. _NO_ problems, just like all my Leica lenses work 
on my Hexar RF's. I sold both lenses as I don't use 50/2's, and both 
buyers tested them on their M's and are happy with them.

All the above being said, you should test _all_ lenses on all bodies 
you intend using them on, just like someone else mentioned today. If 
everything is OK, you have peace of mind and confidence, and 
confidence is essential in using and relying on equipment.

I would say you should buy the lens with return privileges and try it 
out with some film immediately, even if the price goes up a bit. It's 
no good having a lens that you have no confidence in, and even worse 
if you have one that you know won't work on your body.
