Rangefinders are not appropriate for many of the types of subjects I've chosen but as my personal Quest I searched for the simplest, least-buttoned-and-switched SLR that would give me the results I wanted. I found the SL many years ago and, having strayed occasionally toward both simpler and feature-creeped cameras, I've concluded the SL (especially with 400mm f/6.8 Telyt) is where I want to be.
