I am a relative newcomer to the LUG, but I must say it seems rather caught
up in interesting debates and discussions quite remote from photography.
However, I am a firm believer that photography is an means to an end, and
one's vision can and should be profoundly influenced by one's world
experience. And having access to widely divergant points of view are
necessary and indeed critical to forming as well rounded a view of the world
as possible. Free speech is at best an elusive concept, and in today's world
of "PC-ness", even more so.

So rather jump into an ideological debate, for which I'd likely get rebuked
from at least one side ;-), I think instead I'll ask for comments on some
recent additions to my website. Which, BTW, are photographs: some with a
Leica, and some with a Nikon.

cheers,

Jim

(Don't get me wrong...I've thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth postings.
In fact, my wife - who is not a photographer - has been quite intrigued by
the recent LUG traffic.)
