I had to look this up because BD didn't bother to provide any context for when/where this attrocity was committed. I googled it and found this site which documents the assertions pretty well. I say "assertions" because I haven't done any more research and they don't call it the "web of a million lies" for nothing. <http://academic.udayton.edu/health/syllabi/Bioterrorism/00intro02.htm> Certainly the Indians (clumping all the cultures together) came off poorly in their cultural conflict. I'm not aware of a situation where it was "done right." And now they are winning after all, in a certain Darwinian way, as casinos spread everywhere and in much the same way that western culture spread. Maybe we can substitute gambling addition for other diseases... I'm sure there's a Leica moment in this somewhere... Adam - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
