The below image was shot with a 135 Canon Serenar, a kissing cousin to the 135 Sonnar and the Soviet Jupiter design. In the original image you can see the beads of sweat coming off this hard working athlete. The set up to the image is this runner is about number eight of the women runners. Number nine is right behind her just out of frame. She is sprinting as hard as she can for about another 300 meters to the finish line of a 10K run. Pretty good work for an M3, 1.25X viewfinder, and a fifty year old lens. Truly, unless 135 is one of your go to focal lengths, then any of the Sonnar designs can provide outstanding performance for around $100 US. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=1611484&size=lg Now in plain text for the LUG.
