Hi George!
Of course Canon's history has been more related to the Leica. The original
Canon screwmount cameras were copies of the earlier Leicas. Also Canon/Leica
screwmount lenses are interchangeable. And I believe the Nikon/Contax mount
from the '50s is the same? I could be mistaken on the last, since I don't have
any Nikon/Contax early cameras. But I do use a screwmount Canon and
screwmount Leica.
