But the claim was made that they were going to interpolate up from whatever the iDx is to 10 MB. This was one of their senior tech people speaking. Of course the engineers in Japan or wherever the code is written could change their minds. Don dorysrus@mindspring.com Austin replied in part: I know that one of the Nikon cameras has non-square sensor elements, and it interpolates one of the directions to make them square, and the result is more pixels out...but...that doesn't mean more actual image data...you can only get what the sensor gives you.
