Do the math, George - Your 85 I going to turn into a 119...
Besides which, I believe that what Rober Capa said was "If you're pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough," not "if you're pictures aren't good enough, you don't have a long enough lens." :-)

While the price seems prohibitive for me, I¹d really enjoy my 85/1.4 becoming a 110/1.4. I have not been seeing real wide for quite a number of years (age? dunno?).
On the ³not full frame discussion² - It¹s simply a shift in thinking about your gear. When I¹m in view camera land, I love the fact that I can take my deardorf out with 8x10, 5x7 and 4x5 backs and with a few lenses have a wide array of framing choices.
On the ³no good for sports discussion² - I haven¹t shot sports professionally in decades. So for my professional concerns this Leica digital back feels very right:
Digital Portraiture using current system? Yes.
Digital Corporate/Annual Report. Yes.
Digital Special event using current system? Yes.
Digital Landscape / Nature using current system? Yes.
Digital Fine art using current system? Yes.
Digital Architecture using current system? Partial (no super-wide)
So, when an art director or editor says, ³can you do it digital?² 98% of the time I could say yes.
