That is the truest statement anyone has made about this project so far - actually, I think Ted mentioned something about waiting until you could examine it off the shelf too - the fact is we ALL have to wait - 'cept of course, the insiders. ;-) Frank - -------Original Message------- From: Simon Lamb <simon@sclamb.com> Sent: 06/26/03 11:41 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: Re: [Leica] Digital Back - I like the first step! > > The chip design is finalised as the trasncript says. I doubt very much that it will change. The battery technology is agreed, although the manufacturer isn't. In a project such as this, changing the goalposts is inherently risky. But, as with all things, time will tell. Things that are "being developed" often change somewhat in the process. > > Frank > > -------Original Message------- > From: Simon Lamb <simon@sclamb.com> > Sent: 06/26/03 03:06 AM > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: Re: [Leica] Digital Back - I like the first step! > > > > > Unlucky Ed, it will be the exact same spec as released, and as confirmed in > the press conference in answer to a direct question about whether the spec > would change.
