Bonjour Greg,

  I understand what you mean, sometimes with some M cameras the rewind
lever/knob does come back when one is in a hurry in the middle of a film
change.  However this would not happen to you if you were using an M5 :-)
(He, he, he).  The rewind lever is ratcheted.
