Let me offer this:

There was a card shop in my office building. The landlord decided that
it wanted the shop to move to another building it owned across the
street. The location in the second building was one in which no
commercial enterprise had ever succeeded.

One day, from nowhere, all of the cards for all of the seasons were out
at the same time. Why wait until Mother's Day when you could combine
its card with your purchases from Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and
Sweetest Day? It was a delicious confusion. And then the signs -
"fixtures for sale," "all cards 30% off," and the like. That clearance
sale lasted two weeks.

At the end of the two weeks, around Valentine's Day, all of the cards
from the other seasons disappeared. The sale signs disappeared. And
card shop went on as usual.
