After his death, his daughter Victoria published a book of his photographs, many on movie sets he was in, many of his fellow movie stars. I wonder if Kevin Brownlow, mentioned on your Leica at the Movies site is related to Johnny Deadman. Isn't Richard Gere a Leica photographer ? I remember vaguely that the photos he published in his Tibet book (sorry don't recall the name), were taken with a Leica. - - Phong - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Andrew Nemeth Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2003 3:48 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Re: Leica film spotting > Leica film spotting BTW guys, I have an extensive listing of "Leica at the movies" sightings in the Leica FAQ I maintain at: <http://nemeng.com/leica/005ea.shtml> My favourites are (1) an "out of nowhere" M3 in the middle of a gansta cops & robbers movie "In Too Deep" and (2) Yul Brynner in black cowboy gear using a matching black-paint M3 in "The Magnificent Seven" making-of documentary(!)
