Subject: [Leica] LeicaView Vol 14 No 1

The cover photograph of the Spring 2003 issue of Leica View illustrates what
happens when shooting color in Antelope Canyon: the result is an inaccurate
representation of color and detail. Even with an 8 second exposure large
elements of the image show no detail, and the colors are simply wrong. IMO a
carefully exposed and printed (7 to 8 zones) black and white negative does a
much better job of conveying the subtle interplay of shapes, texture and
light that make slot canyons so interesting to the landscape photographer.
