Thanks to all who replied. For me, this particular speed is quite
useful. I take a lot of pictures in Northern Europe, where in the fall
and winter the light is low, the sky often overcast, and a 100 speed
film just won't cut it. I was very happy with the old Ilford Delta 400,
somewhat less with the "new and improved" version that came out a couple
of years ago. While I believe it is important to stick with a few films
that I know well, one also has to be willing to try something new. In
the same spirit, I am ordering a few rolls of the new Kodak Elite 100G.
If a die-hard Kodachrome user like Doug Herr thinks it is good, then I
have to give it a try, especially since I am moving to the Netherlands
where the Kodachrome turnaround time is a couple of weeks instead of the
4-5 days I have enjoyed here in Switzerland the past 3 years.
