Well, the grain is part of the "charm" of the old Tri-X, but this is
indeed pretty stuff...:-)

After using Ilford delta for several years I have switched to the new
TriX.

Although my scan does not do this picture justice, I am amazed at the
lack of grain, shadow detail and overall smoothness on the 8x10 this was
scanned from.

I took this with a M3 and 1947 Summitar 50/2.0 at f4.0:
