Any favorites that get you into the right frame of
mind in the darkroom?

1) "Florida Suite" by Frederick Delius which contains four parts: Daybreak,
By the River, Sunset Near the Plantation, and At Night. Gorgeous melodies! I
always start my darkroom hours with this recording.

2) Anything by Mozart, Beethoven, and Rachmaninoff.

3. "A Day Without Rain" and "Watermark" by Enya. Lush music and melodies and
her great voice combine to create a synchronization with the developer,
short stop, and fixer trays activities that is uncanny and wonderful. I
usually play these two near and at the end of my usual 4-hour darkroom
sessions.

My darkroom is not big, so speakers were not considered. Instead, I bought
Bose's Wave Radio and CD player which is on a shelf in the corner just above
the chemical trays and is positioned diagonally so as to spread the music
around the small room. This is an amazing CD player for its size in terms of
bass, treble, and overall sound output. Playing Enya's recordings with this
is AMAZING! Highly recommended!
