I agree: I have one and I love it dearly.  However, the potential buyer 
should take note: It will not mount on all cameras that have an LTM 
mount or M mount (via an adapter).

For example, I know from first hand experience that the Bessa L, R2, & 
T cameras will not accept this lens, due to the deeply seated rear 
element contacting the innards of the camera frame.  I'm assuming 
(although I don't have first hand experience) that the same is true of 
the Bessa R.

It does work on a Leica M1/M2/M3/M4 with the appropriate adaptor.  
AFAIK, it will mount, but may not meter correctly, on an M6/M6TTL/M7.  
I works on screwmount Leicas (of which the inital Russian rangefinder 
cameras were copies).

I have no experience of the Canon rangefinders.
