Martin, on that same note: try stand development when you use Rodinal 1+100 with HP5+. I know you experimented with stand development once, and that made made me curious. I tried a few different EIs and development times and found shooting at 800 and developing for 75 mins at 20°C gave the best results. Ninety minutes (sixty minutes) give a one stop denser (lighter) zone 9 than 75 minutes. I agitated for the first thirty seconds, and then for about ten seconds about halfway through. Very convenient. Except for more shadow details, the results were not much different from regular small tank development results. Stand development results with Delta and Tmax films were not good. I shot a lot of Kodak grey cards when testing HP5+ in Rodinal 1+100. Not a single spot, although they should be easy to spot (pun intended) on smooth grey negatives of different densities. - -- Christer Almqvist D 20255 Hamburg and / or F 50590 Regnéville sur Mer please look at my NEW b+w pictures at: http://www.almqvist.net/chris/dozen/ old pictures still at: http://www.almqvist.net/chris/new - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
