Well, not to be cantankerous, but the 85 F1.4 is an amazingly good lens.  At
least for the one sample I ran four or five rolls of film through.  It
worked pretty much like Erwin describes, and acted very much like my 75
F1.4.  Which is to say very nice indeed.

My only complaint is that I found it difficult to focus wide open at three
feet.  Something I can easily do with an M3 and the 75 Smilax.
