Paul,

I recently bought a CL from a list member and like it very much.
However, for me it is the fourth M body, to be used when I really want
to travel light. I am not sure if I would want a CL as a second body. It
does not have 35mm framelines and its shorter rangefinder base will
limit your ability to use longer lenses at full aperture (e.g. the 90mm
f2). I think that if another Leica body is too expensive, then a
Voigtlander Bessa R2 that others have suggested will be a better choice
for you. It costs roughly the same as a second-hand CL but will give you
full compatibility with all your Leica lenses in a smaller and lighter
package than a Leica M.
