Subject: Re: [Leica] cable release for 14188 shoulder stock

The 16494 is the double cable release for the first R bellows. So the
two cables move in sequence: first stop down the lens and, second, fire
the shutter. You could use this with the Viso 2 if you remove the arm
or have it facing ahead. With the Viso 3 you would have to remove the
arm. This sounds awkward but it is not easy to smoothly use a cable
release to fire the camera through the Visoflex arm. It is very stiff.
It can be done but it is not pleasant nor as vibration free as firing
the camera with the Visoflex normally. Give it a try and see for
yourself.
