1. All kidding and any personal feelings aside - If Erwin Puts, or
anyone, sends something out to a list of people asking that they not
post, comment on, or repeat it - that request should be honored -
copyright law or no copyright law.

2. Those who read the document in question after it had been posted on a
third-party website had no way to know that it had been posted in
violation of its copyright and an agreement made with specific people,
and could not be violating an agreement to which they were not parties.

3. Commenting on copyrighted material does not violated the copyright -
if it did, there would be no book, movie, or CD reviews. Nor, for that
matter, would there be much academic discussion or debate. Further, fair
usage allows for the quotation - as quotation, of up to - I believe -
250 words of copyright material.

4. It really was a "worshipful article," wasn't it, Jerry? But then
would one expect something critical from the person who wrote "Leica
Lenses - Their Soul and Secrets," an official Leica publication offered
in PDF form at the Leica website?
