Everyone shouldn't be so guilty already.

Money only occasionally can buy happiness. If you enjoy your Leica, be happy.

What would you consider as a reasonable daily rental fee for the use
of two M6s, 35mm Summicron, 90mm Tele-Elmarit, lightweight tripod,
and a swing-out polarizer?

Would you be willing to pay a $1 per day rental fee for all of that equipment?

That would be a great deal, wouldn't it?

If you spent that $1 per day rental fee for ten years, the bill would
come to $3,650.

Dealers will sell that same equipment to you today for $3,650, and
(if you want) in ten years you can sell it to offset the rental fee.
If the equipment "loses" half of its value, your daily rental fee
will have been $.50.

If someone is willing to give you two M6s, 35mm Summicron, 90mm
Tele-Elmarit, lightweight tripod, and a swing-out polarizer to use
for $.50 a day, just be happy about it.
