Subject: [Leica] TRIVIA SOLUTION!

Dear LUG'ers--

The answer for the Tuesday Trivia follows:

Advertisement for the Leica I which appeared in 1928. The camera was
accidentally printed in reverse, but the engravings appeared correctly.
Collectors nicknamed this ad "The Leica for Left-Handers."

Most of the folks who responded were pretty close on the date, knew the
Leica model pictured, and understood that the ad was printed in reverse. No
one knew the nickname, but that was an extra credit question ... that's
pretty arcane stuff, unless you are a die-hard Leica ephemera collector.

I won't announce the winners, since I did not ask their permission to put
their names on a billboard; but I will be contacting them today.

Thanks, all, for participating! Twas fun!

Kit
