Austin,

The RTS-III is still available new and is still quite expensive.  I think B&H wants about $2K for the body.  I too heard that the N1 was not doing too well.  I can't remember where I read that so take it with the appropriate grain of salt.

It's called the "N Digital"...

There is no confusion.  The original Contax mount will not have any more
lenses developed for it, but they will continue to sell existing design
lenses, and the new Contax autofocus mount is having new lenses designed
and
the have more coming out as we speak.

The film cameras are not abandoned at all, the NX and N are easily
available, and superb cameras, as is the Aria and the new RX II (which was
just announced).  You can still buy an RTS III new I believe.
