If you are selling hot dogs for a living, you wrap them in napkins,
not duct-tape.

My problem with Marko's site  is not flash or anything like that. I
don't think Nathan was being mean spirited when he gave some common
sense advice. I was certainly not trying to be mean spirited when I
pointed out that Marko needs to size his pictures appropriately. The
thumbs are 60x40 pixels, way too small to use as a reference.

Skipping the intro, and working as fast as I could, on a T1 line, it
was 40 seconds before I could get the first picture loaded.  That
picture is 287 Kb  and 378 pixels wide x 259 high, rather small to
view, especially in light of the amount of stuff in the picture.

Had he optimized it at 100% quality, it would be just 40 KB, and would
have loaded in 15 seconds on the slowest dialup.
