Daniel--

I understand, and I did not take your question as provocative. I do think in
terms of the major media, I think the bias is towards keeping the
status-quo. With GE running NBC, watch and see if you ever seen anything
nuclear-power-related. With the others, most of their foreign bureaus have
been closed, so there is very little actual coverage of events outside the
U.S. I think one needs to read and listen to many sources in order to get a
balanced view of what is happening, and that may indeed range from Al-Jazira
to The Progressive, to the NYT, to many of the independent radio media, PRI,
NPR, and many others, many of which most folks have never heard of, as they
are small, and not very powerful, but at the same time revealing much the
major media never cover. Take a look at the IPA (Independent Press
Association) at www.indypress.org for some very good titles in print and
online media.

Kit,
DO you get any coverage that isn't biased? This isn't intended to be
provocative. I'm really curious. To me all the media reflects the owners
you list below.

Notice how they just hate Al-Jazira ... a powerful, just as unbiased (as
any American media) that doesn't reflect their interests.
