Nope, Leica made them (or someone else made them for Leica). The 
lenses that used them were the two Super Angulon's for M's, the first 
28 Elmarit, and the Hologon for Leica. There were various versions of 
the cap; some were metal with a plastic insert for the lugs and some 
were all plastic.

Regarding the Summilux hood (the last, 12504) it couldn't be reversed 
because its most interesting feature, that it took Series VII 
filters, made the usual reversing feature impossible, or rather, 
impractical. This hood came out principally for the Summilux when the 
early 41mm filter threads on the lens were removed.
