LOL, nice comment at the end, certainly struck a chord.  I have a few
cameras that I get out now and then, check the shutter speeds, clean and
look at for a while!  Just can't bear to part with them.

Your are absolutely correct in that everyone was relaxed when I took the
pictures, and the children joined in as they knew I was experimenting with
something new and they wanted to be a part of it.  When I get the 503 out
they shrink back in horror as they know we are in for some studied and
serious stuff.  I am trying to use the 503 handheld more, or using the
remote on the winder.  The latter certainly makes for a more rleaxed
atmosphere.

That said, I took the 503 away with us last year for a break and used it as
I would a 35mm SLR.  With the Winder and meter prism, I found it quite
effective and got some really superb images, with the potential to use them
for web display or 30"x30" prints (should I want to).  35mm does not give
such latitude of use if big prints are the order of the day.  Anything up to
a 12"x8" look great through Leica glass though.
